2004 S4 cabrio 4.2 a/c compressor change

anyone have experience with this? It is my understanding that the entire front clip needs to be removed to do the swap, due to the location of the compressor. Any tips or tricks for me... Also, does anyone know where I can download a FSM for this car? Thanks. Ron
 
the compressor is right underneath the engine
its far easier to remove from underneath with the bumper put in service position
you need to dissconnect the shaft at the back as its directly driven off the auxillary chain off the back of the engine
when you put the shaft back id advise putting some high temp grease in
