Rev limiter or ECU info

Got my car remapped recently and today I asked if I could get a limiter put on it as well. The garage was really busy and the guy seemed to be really not in the mood, but basically told me that my ecu isn't able for a limiter.
I want to know if this is the case, or if it's possible for you to give me info on the model of my ecu? My car is the 2004 A3 8P 1.9TDi 105bhp

Do you want a popcorn limiter ? . You can do that fairly easily if you know what you are doing but I would advise against it as it doesn't do a lot of good for the turbo.

Yeah popcorn, I know it's not great for the turbo but I'm only keeping this car for a year or so and it'll rarely hit the limiter anyway
