Evening all,

I'm wondering if there's a way in VCDS to see exactly how much oil is in my car?

Reading the dipstick on the A6 C6 2.0TDI is just so difficult to read, that I don't like trusting it.

My car has always asked me for more oil as soon as it looks about a millimetre below the max line and I tend to go through about a third of a litre per 1000 miles. Despite putting 0.7 litre in yesterday, the min oil level warning has stayed on, but I'm worried about overfilling it.

Can VCDS read the exact amount of oil in the car?

Cheers,

Paul.

Found the values for oil in VCDS & at 52 degrees, the oil level reads as 40mm.

Anyone got any idea on an A6 C6 2.0TDI what the level should read in VCDS?

40mm is around the minimum value for low oil. cant remember what mine reads cold, but sure its around 65-70mm. A4 2012 2.0TDI CGLC engine code

Thanks for confirming. I can now add some oil without worrying about flooding it, cheers.

Theres a block which show the minimum trigger level for the oil light.

Yeah, I've seen that on other people's posts online, but I couldn't find it anywhere on my values. All I could find was level, temperature, wear level/rate (or something like that) and soot.

As long as I know adding another half litre won't overfill it, I'll be happy.
