Do the wings need to be changed?

I have done a few facelift conversions myself on the A3 8P model, and if my memorys serves me correctly, I remember vaguely a facelift conversion was done without changing the 8P2 Wings with the indicators in them?

The reason why I ask, is that I am currently facelifting an A3 and without attempting it, I don't know whether the old wings off an 07 plate A3 will fit with the new 8P3 headlights, front panel, bumper and bonnet. I was thinking of just getting the indicators taken out and the holes filled up and painted instead of buying and sourcing new wings

can someone shed some light on this please?

P.S. I know the facelift conversion list very well so that's not the question, the question is regarding just the wing shape and fitment with facelift parts

pre-facelift (2004-2008) wings wont work with a facelift (2009-2012) converted frontend

Just confirming what Tom already said. New facelift wings are required.
