Hi all,
My girlfriends car has just failed its mot on an ABS fault.
The ESP light is on constantly, and the abs light only comes on when doing over 60, sometimes it doesn't come on at all.
The mechanic said that the whole unit will need to be sent off and will cost £500!!
I plugged in VCDS and it came up with P1479 - 002 - brake boost vacuum system, mechanical failure.
Is the mechanic having my eyes out because I can see that you can buy these for about £200.
