Well this time it was the Audio that needed the work
In the E46 BMW, i fitted some decend Components and a JL Sub, i always thought the Audi Bose was a bit Lacking.

I built a custom box that wouldnt take up too much room in the boot as space is lacking.
Its a ported box with 2 x 8" subs inside, i have then gone through the Ski hatch but also made it so the arm rest can click back in for passengers.
I have used a high input going into a Pioneer Amp mounted in the boot.
The bigest hassel was running the cable through fire wall and up to the back of the car

I have also added some Pioneer Tweeters up front

I am undecided whether to replace the front door speakers for a set of components and drive them through another amp at the moment?

The spec is getting there now

I have just got VCDS which has been a god send

The spec now

A4 3.0 TDI with Bose, Auto/Paddle
Options ticked (Memory Seats, Folding Mirrors, Front paeking Sensors

Added
H&R Lowering Springs
RS4 Rear Bar
19" Genuine Le Mans with 235/35/19 Goodyear F1
S4 rear Valance
Twin exit sports system
Wrapped grill and lightest tint front lights
Light window tint all round
MSD Remap
Cupra R Splitter

I did fit some 18Z, but i hated the pedal feel, may go back and retry now i have VCDS to see if i can get a better pedal feel by triggering the ABS pump once the they are fitted

What else would you do?

Love the clean audio setup (y) jealous, i'd have no clue how to DIY that myself. Would probably cost a pretty penny to have it done by someone.

On a side note, is your A4 still a B7 then? Presume early 08 are? Just noticed the round vents but B7 grill

Think I have just done a deal on xenons and RS4 grill!!!

Yes it's a B7

Audio set up costs

High level line input £22
MDF £28
Carpet £22
Amp wiring kit £26
2 8 subs £120
Pioneer amp £124

So it was about £300 all in to be fair, you could do it cheaper 2nd hand amps and subs

I have got a genuine Broken/smashed RS4 mesh in the garage and have cut it up for fog lamp grills to match the grill when I find one

Just recently bought a '57' s-line cab, and am looking to overhaul the tonk concert system that's currently in it. Have a replacement head unit already, but can anyone give any advice on suitable speakers, (particularly for the rear) etc.
I have seen quite a few A4 with the Cupra splitter on the front. How easy is this to fit?
Any recommendations on how or where to get grilles sprayed/wrapped black?
Any help is appreciated.

Biggest issue is head unit (was with Bose unit)
Audi use a very low impedance system and speakers
If I didn't have Bose with Nav I would have upgraded (might still)
Essentially world is then your oyster
Check what is fitted, Cabs can have 6.5 all round or 6.5 rear and 8 front
Theee isn't a sub in the cab as standard
Issue with Cab is getting Bass into cabin, hence i ditch ski bag and built something
Off the shelf is available

TPS for splitter or eBay
Easy to fit, trim centres down then screw or rivet on and chop excess on the ends
Cost £50

Can prep and spray yourself, or some use plasti dip
Losts of places wrap, place in Birmingham charges about £40 for a grill or you can buy wrap off eBay and have a go

Go for decent speakers and amp

I like Focal, Rainbow, Audison for speakers

Plenty of decent amps about

Thanks for the advice.
I've been looking at a vibe optisound underseat sub, seems powerful enough with a built in amp. Might have to remove the storage tray in one of the seats first though. I want to try and keep as much boot space as possible.

I've got RS6 (c6)19s to go on, will do a good bit for the looks, also contemplating non-oem headlights.
Are there any quick wins as far as styling is concerned?

For me lowering Springs for looks
RS4 or 034 rear ARB for handling
19s look great
Cupra splitter always good
Grill upgrade is nice
Some tint lights, it's marmite love or hate
De-badge is also love or hate
Tinted windows light smoke is nice

All good good advice from Jasesapphy!

Have a look at my build thread. Im practically a B6.5 Cab as I only need to do the front end to turn it into a full B7 Cab.

Ive done quite a few extrerior mods. All in the attempt to complete the 'look' before I go for srage 2 tuning hopefully next year.

Any questions, just ask.

Do you have a link for it mate as the forum find all posts by etc is not working for me and i would like a nose at your build.:)

Tough day today
Got some parts but as always not all that glitters is gold.

Got a set of xenon that had been Joey'd and a RS4 genuine grill

All went well until testing.

It would seem previous owner ran resistors in the NS light, which has made a mess inside of wiring (melted)

Lots of circuit testing and coding and luckily it will only cost about £10 to sort out but another couple of hours messing about

Early shots as I need to get my gaps perefect but here you go

A4 Genuine BI Xenons
Genuine A4 B7 Grill
Fog lamp intakes Meshed with genuine RS4 mesh

Will get some better day pics

How young finding the osarm bulbs?

Been looking at the osarm xenarx night breakers for mine!

they are fantastic, fitted them to my BMW and Movano

They do work better in the Audi due to headlamp design, my misses hates driving her BMW at night compared to Audi

Looking good.
That's a nice touch with the steering wheel.

Top work! For the remote roof did you go for the SmatTops unit, MKDS or kufatec one?
