are they the same on the s3 as the a3?


Would you believe it Mine snapped..


Who ever heard of such a thing!


What Evers next? Top mounts?

S3 are lower (and stiffer I believe) plus rears will be different as S3 is quattro (assuming you are on about a FWD A3)

Springs snap all the time... top mount rubbers collapse and bearings shatter too

It's the front for my s3


Only wondering as the factors only had a3 in stock

But if a difference I'll get a s3 set

And top mounts as well whilst I'm
At it.


Just a case of Undoing the top mounts, compressing springs and replace?

Or does the whole Strut have to come out?

Strut out is easier... never done it with strut still in place... not sure I would use a factors springs over OE in this context as factor based springs tend to be a one size fits all solution... there are several variations of spring available based on the combo of coloured dots on the springs..
