I've just purchased a set of 18in 5 spoke Ronal's at a steal of a price and was wondering what the best size tyres would be as there seems to be so many options.
The wheels are 8.0j 18h2 et43.
There to go on my a4 170 2.0 tdi avant
Quattro.
Any help would be brilliant

can use 225/40/18 can save quite a bit

Less rubber on the road and the rolling circumference will be slightly smaller.

And if they are supposed to be fitted with 235's and you have an accident with 225's on the insurance may invalidate your claim.

as carl says, 235's , and yes if the wrong size you,ll be at risk of not being covered if in an accident.
After my recent claim , when the insurance guy came round to asses damage the first thing he did was check the tyres allround for condtion and size.
incorrect tyre size for rim fitment is allways a hot spot for insurance companies and claims.
