This Friday
Dynamic + Manual mode; Rhuthin to Horseshoe Pass (photograph) via Nant Glynn Pass before heading down to Llangollen and onto the A5 with all the valley twists for 33 miles down the fast part of the Evo Triangle (or was before average speed cameras) down to Betws Y Coed Shell garage for Vpower, by which time it was dark so switched to Comfort D and cruised up to Colwyn Bay and down the A55 back home listening to Smooth Chill DAB on the B&O. 15mpg average before leaving BYC Shell Garage LOL, then the usual ~30mpg.
Exhaust sounds mental I have no idea if this car is modified or not, it seems a lot faster than 310hp, torque especially, and a lot louder than OEM, I've had some loud exhausts in the past on different cars and in dynamic it sounds a lot like when I straight piped my A3 1.8 TFSI for 3 days before putting the backbox back on because it was too loud. In the Colywn Bay tunnels it sounds absolutely epic. It also needs an FMIC as it clearly suffers from heat soak, although it's been 20-30C on the days I tried.
Such a cool drive shame it cost me £90 in fuel, won't be doing that every day.
Though it was such a cool drive I did it again on Saturday ha ha
It's great living near the Evo Triangle I'm just 4 years too late. When I last drove it pre-average-speed-cameras I had an a3 tdi 140 with a broken turbo... Now I would never drive dangerously but now you get old people who think 60mph means 30mph and you can't really overtake them due to the cameras.
