hi freinds. think my sub woofer has blown. it was ok when i left work. pulled up outside my mates workshop. when i turned the ignition of i get a popping sound from the speaker. the headunit is a non oem unit with the adaptor lead. anyone help please.

hi friends, done some investigation into this issue, ive pulled the headunit and checked all the connections all seam ok. ive unplgged the bose unit and plugged the old one in and still no sound, so iam going to try the amp next. if not that then iam going to be left scratching my head.

Usually a popping sound is due to a bad earth mate check your connections and power to the amp bud

thanks mate. had the headunit last weekend, could not find anything obvious. but it could well be the adaptor lead. will check it out again over the weekend.
