dipping interior mirrior.

hi friends. ive laid my hands on a auto dipping mirrior from an a3 p8 chassis, going to retro fit this into my a4 b6 chassis. ive got all the wiring ect. and the mount itself. but ive notiched that this is a sensor of some kind, is this to do with the mirrior, also has anyone got a wiring diagram as how to wire this in.

There are two types of dimming mirror available, one with a rain sensor mount and one which suits cars without auto wipers.

Which one do you have? The mirror with the rain sensor won't fit your screen if you have manual lights/wipers and vice versa.

Yes that's the rain sensor one, do you have the auto wipers/lights function in your car?
