Hello everyone,

basically I got a new stereo installed on my Audi A3 2007, its a Pumpkin one, it makes white noise when I turn on the headlights, and its really annoying, plus when I press the gas it makes a little whistle which adds to the white noise and it is doing my head in. I tried contacting the garage where I did that but no one is answering (bunch of P****s) now I am looking for someone who could sort out this problem. I am willing to pay for your time. I am based in West Midlands (Coventry), if anyone could help please give me a shout.

Thank you in advance

From what your saying I would try one of these before forking out more money, it cuts out any interference. Easy to fit and it might help/fix it.
Have you changed anything else except for the stereo along side of this?

I don't actually know what forking out means. And no, I haven't changed anything else. I just would like to get this sorted as it's really doing my head in

It's picking up interference, you need a ground loop isolator. This is only usually caused when you run RCA cables next to your power cable (if you have fitted an aftermarket sub and amp) however, I don't think you have done this, I would go back to the garage and get them to resolve the issue, either the unit is faulty or they have done some wiring mods.

@fab_giglio Did you ever get this sorted?
I've got the exact issue as a result of my install which I picked up from a specialist tonight. I had a sub and amplifier fitted so it could be as scott suggested for me. V Helpful information which I'll use tomorrow if all the other life stuff allows! Obviously I plan to speak to the specialist tomorrow but its also helpful to not look a completely ignorant tool when doing so!

Try one of these - it cured my low volume buzzing/whining issues after fitting a Sony HU into an Audi Bose system.

@Horlix66 Many Thanks for your reply; couple of other things life wise mean I just haven't had time to think about car stuff since my post! I am none BOSE but will mention this to him. He is an experienced chap, but as i mentioned, I don’t want to be too ignorant. At the moment the install sounds not much better than the previous kit which is wrong. So a step at a time & there are a few things I need to catch up with the installer about hopefully sometime this week to solve issues and get things sounding as they should.
