I'm removing the rear bumper on my 3door, and I've got every screw out except for the 2 nuts that are in the holes in the boot. How the hell do you get theses out? No tool I have can get in there to undo the nut and all my sockets get stopped by the ridiculously long screw.
Any ideas?
Thanks

As above, you'll need a hollow extension/bar.

Loosen them with the socket, and then spin them off by hand as they'll fall into the cavity and you'll never see them again, I've lost one of mine lol

You need a Box spanner. This is what they look like-

They are all different lengths and hollow throughout the length, usually double ended hex sizes. Leverage is by insert a tommy bar through one of the holes in the sides.

A long reach socket will do it but I think it'll have to be a 1/2" drive as they are a little longer.
My Halfords professional set gets in there but as said don't drop the nut. I think I put a little grease in the socket head last time I took the rear bumper off

There is a specialist socket that audi have for these nuts, it's deep enough and the nuts clip into the socket so you don't drop them in the back panel, I think it's about 7 or 8 quid
