Hi Everyone

I'm still having a problem with a 001 single wire fault. Does anybody possibly have any ideas where to look, I was thinking it was the drivers door loom that was the problem. Is there a way to actually pin point it using VCDS ?

Thanks @LEE69, While being quite mechanically minded i'm not great with electrics, I can do simple checks i.e condition and visual checks on wiring and connections but am unsure at which modules i should be looking at. can you possibly give me any ideas where to start (explain it to me like i'm a child lol) Thanks Matt.

Matt,

Its a long time down the road, but did you ever get this Single Wire mode issue fixed?

I have the same problem with my car, but am having real problems finding the cause. I tried unplugging each door in turn (I've heard that can rule out problems from the door looms, but the problem still logs an error.

I'm wondering if I have to replace the CAN BUS.

I effing hate single wire mode. can't find mine either. I replaced the canbus too for another reason and still have it too. I hate waiting 20 seconds to lower my windows after start

I never did find, in the end i just thought that if the one i have working fails it would be easier to find when one of the windows stops working etc.
