Hi all, hope you can help me.

I have an A3 on a 59 plate and the bulb has blown, I bought some blue bulbs from a user on here who I can't remember the name of. Basically I'm selling the car and what to replace the bulbs cheap, I took the h16 bulb I have into a car shop who say they don't sell and have never seen the H16 bulb before. I can't find the original bulbs I had in the car to switch back. Looking on the halfords database they quote a different bulb which I can't work out why?

When I took the old bulbs out to swap for the new ones have I removed something?

They may just be t10 501 bulbs. use this website to identify your bulb type:

Have a look in the Handbook, it does list the bulb numbers, well some of them.
Also says "Changing bulbs requires a certain amount of practical skill" lol.

Halfords are awful for bulbs I went for a number plate bulb and the book said a 501 wedge bulb when I asked the boy he said it's just a generic guide my dad went there for a drl and got a standard sidelight one

Does it look like this mate? This is the ones I took out my 2010 A3 for led bulbs.

PS19W is the one mentioned in the handbook with Halogen headlamp bulbs.
