No. My order has updated three times since the tracker has been in maintenance.

That's good to know then, cheers! Suppose that it normally only updates in the middle of the night so as long as it's correct by tomorrow then we should know it's still updating as it should.

Arrived in UK on the 15th day! But if you bother your dealer they will try and raise transport asap once its in UK!! Mine was only in uk port for 12 hours.

Nice Ohms. Also coming from a Golf but just a humble GTD. The allroad is pretty rare. I have only seen one on the road since I ordered back in Jan. How you finding it?

Thanks! Yeah, it's a pretty big departure from the R - but I'm enjoying it so far. Most people who have seen it have also commented on how rare they are, I haven't seen a single other one on the roads. Power wise, I'm taking a hit, but it's not bad at all. Plenty grunt for day to day driving.

As for everything else - no problems so far, the interior really is a lovely place to sit. Couple of curiosities have come up, wonder if anyone else can concur? MFSW - only a couple of buttons on the steering wheel, I had no idea I had to spec the multifunction wheel plus to get simple controls for music, etc. Quite irritating.

Secondly, why can't the climate control direct air to the windscreen and to the cabin at the same time?! Lastly - maybe someone with coding knowledge knows, is it possible to change things like rear screen wipe when reversing? (I hate it). I'd dearly love to have an instant MPG readout on my dash, too - my only options are an average! (Annoying when using Nav, you can have a readout of date, time, average mpg etc - but no live readout..)

Small things, maybe, but all things you get accustomed to in the ol Golf! (No adaptive ACC, mirror tilt and button for rear mirror dazzle I miss also - all very expensive extras for what they are, on the Allroad, hence me not speccing them!)

I did clean it, today, though. Looks nice in white? Haha.

Cheers Ohms, nice little write up.

Regarding the MFSW, I only noticed how basic it was when I looked at the MY18 additions. I would have been in the same boat as you otherwise.

As for the other bits and pieces, it makes you realise what a great package the Golf GTD/GTI/R is for the money. I am looking forward to that great cabin and the V6 diesel. I am sure I will miss the GTD for the smiles when chucking it around a bit though.

Is that Mythos or Brilliant black? Looks tough!

Managed to get onto the tracker tonight for the first time, showing as left Ingolstadt on the 'graphic' type page and status 38 on the JSON stuff, it was assembled on the 20th.

Getting ever closer, will collect the car with my camera gear and go off to a favoured spot, weather permitting

Looks like my car will arrive when I won't be around to collect it, so I have instructed the dealership to remove the protective transit covers for the "off transporter" inspection then put them back on whilst it is in the storage compound. They will PDI and road test with covers on and I will collect in same state ready to go off to the detailers upon my return. I did make up for my disappointment though by taking their S5 Sportback out for a wee drive yesterday afternoon. Bring on the S4, the exhaust howl is addictive on the S5 so I hope it's the same!

also its not clear if left ingolstadt means sitting in the parking lot outside the factory or on a train!

Ive been watching the ships, its either gone to Sheerness yesterday or still sat on a boat in Emden, possibly not sailed due to the weather.
I was to order a car but the dealer had this one coming into stock, a higher spec than I was going for so overall my timescale will only have been around 4-5 weeks rather than 15. It is interesting to note that this particular car was ordered last September! Built in Week 21, a week before the MY18 mods.
Cant wait though, far better than I had wished for spec wise.

No date against mine either. I think it's because this status ins't published on the tracker website and can only be seen from the JSON. Looks like it usually around 2 weeks before getting on a ship. Where are you shipping too?
