Reverse light switch

My reverse lights stopped working so i looked for the switch on the gearbox but couldn't see it!!! called Audi and they told me there are two types of switches and mine is the one which looks plastic with a cable attached £60+vat.
I asked were about`s is it fitted and he showed me a diagram,it goes on the top of the gearbox. My question is how do you get to it to fit it? from under the car? from the top?
if anyone has fitted one i would be grateful of some help.

Did mine up on a 2 post ramp. New switch from ECP was about a tenner. The one with the cable is £25 from ECP

Cool so I have to tackle it from under the car? Does it plug in near the O2 sensors

This came today from Audi i`ve been under the car and can not see anything like it in the gearbox? i`m a bit lost now......
