Some of you photographers may be interested about this beast ?.
This lens is my most used lens. It is very sharp and the focusing is very fast(also helps also having a good camera as well I must add!). I purchased this lens way back in 2006 for around £4700 and it still performs as it did 9 years ago, which just shows how well made they are. And I've taken thousands of images with it.
Out now is the MKII version which is lighter and is around £6500
Anyway here's some pic's, enjoy!
This was when I 1st got the lens. As you can see it comes in a cool case
(Click the images to see them bigger)
Because the lens Is heavy coupled with the camera I wanted some good supports for when I'm out and about. So I purchased a high quality Tri-Pod and Mono-Pod.
The Mono-Pod is a "Gitzo GM5541 Carbon Mono-Pod" with a "Really Right Stuff MH-01 Pro + B2 Pro Mono-Pod Head"
The Tri-Pod consists of a Gitzo G1548 Carbon legs and a wimberley gimbal head
Also as you can see in the image above I also purchased a Kenko Lens2scope. Which turns the lens into a powerful scope. Which is amazing for looking at the moon/stars or anything very far away
The Kenko Lens2scope
And an example of what is seen and how far away(I took the image through the scope on my iPhone at the time and another to show the distance)
