Lowering car recommendation

hi people I've recently put my car back on 18s and the tyres are 245/40/18 and to be honest I want to lower the car. I've got a b7 sline avant tdi 2005 do I need to change tyre sizes? And how far would people go when lowering without it scraping. Views will be considered cheers

Coilovers alllll the way! As you can decide what ride height you want!

Springs are good but sometimes not quite enough!

If you are keen to get a certain look / drop and want it as low as you say then I think you would probabaly better off with coilovers. The adjustability gives you the chance to get the exact stance you want.

To get that you'll need coilovers really.
