Q7 Q7 fuel filter change

Hi,

My friend has a Q7 4.2 TDI V8 and has changed the fuel filter on it and tried to start it, but won't. He has vagcom but can't find where to run the fuel pump. Does it prime on ignition?

Output tests in the engine control module. Run the output test for the pump a couple of times.
