I've searched high and low for an answer to this, all to no avail.

I really hope somebody can help me!

I was letting my son pretend to drive by letting him sit on my knee and hold the wheel (stationary, engine off - of course!), next minute he decides to vomit everywhere, and it's inside the driver's side air vent.

I need to remove it to give it a thorough clean.

I've managed to prize it out, but I cannot fully remove it as the electrical cable (presumably for the light on the vent dial) is still attached. I can't see how this disconnects, can anybody offer any pointers?

If any pics or other details are required please just let me know.

Many thanks in advance.

The black twisted cable should have a connector on it about 5 inches down the cable.

This was the only pic I could find, I guess the cable is accessible from the dash side trim if you can't get it from the front.

Thanks for your help, the side pod (when door open) provided access to remove the connector.
