Hi All,
Today I had fuel leaking from the rear driver side of the car today (exactly where the fuel filter is).
Now two things
1) I have played around with the fuel filter, one of the clips just PULLS off (ie, don't need to use a screwdriver to push in the plastic tab). However, I don't think this is leaking. Just to be safe I want to replace it though. It is the side that goes from the tank to the IN side of the fuel filter. Can I buy the new clip and replace it on its own, or am I best getting the entire piece from the fuel tank to the fuel filter?
2) Shock horror, I think this is the cause of my leak.. I removed my rear seat and the fuel pump cover, and there was fuel flooded in the surround! Here is a picture of where I mean (this is after I mopped up all the fuel)
How would fuel get into here? Would I not have screwed on the the black plastic nut correctly? Maybe the rubber seal isn't in the correct spot. Or could it possibly be leaking from one of the hoses there (both seemed secure, ie didn't just pull off). It's very late here so I have left my car tonight and I will play around with it a bit more tomorrow but I was just wondering if anyone had any ideas.
Sorry for the wall of text, but I would greatly appreciate any help! Cheers guys
