Nice riviera S3 mate when did you get it looks like a ex demo
Thanks, just got it a week or so ago. I turned up to drive an S3 at the dealership and couldn't believe my luck to find out the car had just been traded in. Within a day I had bought it. I think the car was spec'd up very decent by the previous owner and not an ex demo.

I washed it, dried it, then went over it quickly with the DA & Super Resin polish. I then took it to a sports car company and by pure luck started speaking to the owner of the company one of those guys that you gel with instantly! He's happy to give me what I want for the car, only £500 less than what a private sale/price was going to be! So for £500 not worth the hassle/risk of people knocking at the door.

Cheers mate, he was impressed with it that much he said he may have it for himself...I was tempted to say "Oh a private sale/price then" but I didn't want to push my luck It means what I've saved on the last 3x payments plus what I'm getting for the car combined is just under a £1k more than what it cost me to pay the car off! so basically it's costing me nothing to switch cars

l only made £200 but more importantly it's off my hands without forking out like you say

Anybody else got this on their puddle lights.. looks like it's breaking up

Sent from my iPhone using Tapatalk

Anyone else have the above issue? Mine isn't quite as bad (the main part is fine) but I'm starting to get the dots around the edges.

Not sure they'd be covered as a warranty replacement? How long do parts have? I've had these a little over a year.

Thanks!

Mine was in for it's first service two weeks ago and they replaced the puddle lights under warranty. They said they had started to break up, didn't notice them myself but they said it was very slight.

Oh right nice! Was that on the yearly service scheme or longlife? Mainly trying to work out the age. Being a year old (more than) one mine I think they may say no but I guess no harm in asking.

Mine were replaced a while back as well, looked like this

I'm sure there were posts previously about water / dirt getting into the lighting units and causing this.
I'd say, as part of the car, it should be covered by the 3 year Audi Warranty from new.

The car was 1 year and 13 days old when it went in mate. I don't see why they would say it wasn't covered if it's just a year old. Could this be the reason some came off the production line without them fitted?

Thing is mine is a PFL so they were technically a dealer fitted optional extra - so maybe only 1 year warranty.

Yeah I think they've revised the design for the FL ones apparently to stop the above-mentioned dirt/water getting in.

Will have a chat with Audi and see what they say

You my friend have balls to do the job yourself? Was it a case of removing the head liner, plot the pots where to drill and do it back in reverse?

Haha yes you do need a huge pair to take a drill to the roof!
I did the same retrofit to my 8P so it's basically the same.
Once the headlining is completely out you can see where the 4 fixing locations are and just pick one to drill back up through, from that you can mark up the rest from outside.

Very cool. Love the inspection pit aswell Must get mine fitted this weekend.
My Dad and Grandad have swapped a few engines in there, handy to have, still had to jack the front up about 6 inches though

Been busy fitting bits and bobs; carbon effect illuminated sill plates, wind deflectors and turbo technics intake pipe.

30 mins each side to get the adhesive off the sill from the oem plates though!
