What have you done to your 8V today?

Caught a raw nerve with that one!!!....but feel for you mate.

Some cars are just prone to it, my 2.0TDI which I had for 18 months had just one small self repaired stone chip on the bonnet when I sold it...go figure ?

Really what gave ya that idea....lol It is what it is mate....joys of ****** motoring....lol

Ps my windscreen looks like its been diamond impregnated.....lol

Facelift car so currently I have the facelift air vents, which I really don't like. Found these PFL ones on eBay for £68

Yea AMD Essex, unfortunately blew one tyre in the dyno process as well. But they didn't bother doing another run after I bought another tyre .

I wasn't that confident about the figures tbh, I might head down to Kim at QS soon.

If you head down to MTM/ QST. I would ask Kim why he advises that MTM Cantronic boxes will not work between different cars with the same engine when they clearly do. The VIN/ Chasis number thing appears to be a complete red herring. Its wrong that so many people have been led up the garden path and forked out top $$$ unnecessarily for a supposed re-code.

Ok Rob. Spill the beans what are the part numbers please for the additional components if you already have the original full kit?. Revo website does not appear to list. You are funny .. Looking good!

LoL thanks matey

Just ask for the carbon air box lid with turbo intake hose for S3/7R and they should know what you're referring to. Think their website is down for a revamp including the carbon intake panel - wonder if they will offer the full kit intake and air box lid at a discounted package deal ?

I need an extra air vent so let me know if there is 1 available for a PFL!

Talking of air vents, nearly bought this one but its a different design. The chrome swivel bit is a different colour. The chrome and piano black are swapped around. Anyone seen what model its from?listing says A3 8V but iv never seen any with this type of vent, unless its different in Europe.

Those are the style you get on the very very basic spec 8V's

Edit: normally along with one of these in place of the MMI:

Changed my wiper blades from stock to Bosch Aerotwin A864S's.... (on day 2 of car ownership).

Plugged in VCDS and tried to activate audible lock & unlock. Adaption changed ok, but no sound.

There's always tomorrow...
(apols for the boring pic (and mod))

Got the car booked in Monday morning for my tints... Nothing huge but should be a nice subtle change to the car which I'm looking forward too!

What % tint are you going for ?

@pburv may be interested to see this.

I had tints done on mine but only thing I would change now is that I had limo black at the rear and it covers the top brake light which makes it a lot more darker. I would ask the tinter to cut around this area to leave the brake lights unaffected

35% on the rears and 50% on the fronts. but I may go a little darker on the back i'm not to sure yet

I didn't think about that I will have to mention that to him... although i'm not going as dark as yours I will still mention this to him thanks for the heads up mate!

I didn't do anything on my fronts as I find that a safety issue. Does make the car look a lot better in my opinion

Make sure you activate the Tone on Lock MMI Menu also, then browse to it and activate via the MMI. Your beeps will start working

that looks really classy but mine is mythos black and if I go too dark it could look a little silly... I do like the limo tints on coloured cars but I think the darkest I will go on the rears is 35%. does anyone know the legal limits on front tints just out of curiosity?

Reactions: pburv

Thanks, front side windows need to allow 70% light through so max 30% tint but some factory glasses are already tinted by a bit.

I literally just read that on the DVLA website. so 70% light transmission is the limit, I might look at a light tint for the front windows maybe a 70-85% just to take the edge off of the back windows!
