The car is A3 177 2009
it was driving fine on boost going up a hill then hit a small pothole then the heater plug light started flashing and no power Thought it might be a hose off or burst before i start stripping the car i thought i would ask here .

there is mate, if your under the car first have a look around the bottom of the intercooler on both sides... then try to have a look up the back of the engine towards the drivers side where the turbo is and see if there is anything loose there?

Ok vacuum not holding on the actuator TPS said the actuator is only sold with a new turbo
after lots of looking on the NET this is the part no for the Actuator Repair Kit 03L 198 716 A £125.00 inc vat to the trade
will fit it tonight and post up if its sorted the problem

Fitted the new part last night nightmare lol
How i did it
Remove the air intake pipe from the airbox to the turbo first to gain more acess.
Remove oil feed pipe 17mm so you can remove the 3 bolts 10mm holding it to the turbo
then pull up the actuator to get better acess to the top nut with a 10mm spanner lossen the top nut on the acuator just a little
then with a long 10mm socket with some maskint tape on the end makes it easy to grip
remove the bottom 10mm nut.

You then need to mesure from the actuator to the first nut on the old unit and make the new unit the same dont forget to loctight the bolts the kit comes with it.
then refit and check there are no leaks from the oil feed pipe

I then set it up with vcds
engine basic
settings turbo acuator set
job done the car feels great and will pull like a train in any gear.

Hope this helps

this is the part
