Crankshaft Position Sensor S3 8l ....

Hello guys
I've had a hot start issue with my crank sensor for a while now and I'm finally going to change it .

Has anyone done it before ? Apy engine ..
Is it relatively simple to do and is it next to the oil filter housing ?

Hi mate,

I changed mine recently after an engine transplant.
Jacked the car up, removed under tray (if its still there)
Small socket and small extension you can get onto the holding bolt, loosen and unplug the sensor and replace.
Scan car to make sure fault clear and sensor not faulty. Takes about 15mins tops. Little bit fiddly and small hands help.
