S3 8l Convenience Control Module Part Number Differences

I need to replace my module as vcds wont communicate with mine. My part number is 8DO 862 257.
A member on here has one available with the part number 8DO 862 257 'E' (revision E i guess)

Can anyone tell me if this will work? as i dont know what the difference is
