VIN factory build spec?

Is there a way I can find out what extras were fitted to my car when it was built? I've heard of being able to decode the vin somehow?
 
You'll probably find a copy of the sticker in one of the vehicle documents.
 
Ok guys I have no sticker in the boot or in the service book so any idea if I can get one from Audi?
 
That's a bit odd that you don't have a sticker in the service book or tyre well of the car....... Why would someone want to remove them? If it has been removed from the book then there should be evidence of it being there as it will either tear the page or leave some of the adhesive behind. Similar in the tyre well unless they have used something to clear the old gum left behind.
 
Mine isnt in the spare wheel well its under the rear bench seat. Just pull the seat upwards to remove and there it is

Thanks Swarcup you were bang on. Lifted the rear bench seat and there it was! Now how do you decode it.lol

type the codes in and it tells you
