Wheel recommendation request

Hello all,

I have 2.5TDi Sport Quattro which has just benefitted from replacment Brembo front rotors and Pagid blues sittingin the original calipers. WOW what a change. Precise and progressive modulation with fantastic stopping power. /ubbthreads/images/graemlins/shocked.gif

I think the old girl would like some new wheels as I know one of them has a slight throw and am beginning to think I can feel vibration from it. /ubbthreads/images/graemlins/confused.gif

The car is on 17" rims running 235/45 Vredestein Ultrac which I am VERY pleased with. I like the balance of handling and ride comfort this set up gives. /ubbthreads/images/graemlins/smile.gif

So, my question is:

Should I change to 18" rims?

Whatever I decide to do, your esteemed opinion on reputable wheel suppliers would be appreciated.

Try 18" RS6 Reps from Rockford Tyres - I did and I'm real happy with it.

I was looking for your opinion on the performance differences rather than the cosmetic.

Can you tell me what differences you have noticed in handling and what the improvements are over 17" rims?

Do you do a lot of miles?

If you do is the firmer ride that the 18" rims give tolerable on long journeys?
