new member.. Stereo HELP please!

I have recently bought an audi a3 2.0 tdi sport On a 56 and in need of help.
I have full power to the stereo cd plays as normal etc but have no sound coming from the speakers... sometimes if I turn the stereo on and off I get sound anything from 5 secs to about 30 secs and then cuts off again... any help would be very grateful before I start seeking other help. Thanks

Could this be a issue with the unit it's self or possibly something to do with the amps I have read on other posts? Cheers.

Can anybody help please. Still.have this same issue and starting to drive me nuts! I've had the head unit out doesn't seem to have any loose connections. Haven't been able to get my hands on a replacement unit to see if it is units fault. But most things I've read seem to be pointing too the amps. How do I access the amp in the boot on a 3 door a3. As there are no access hatches. Cheers
