Hi guys. Im stripping my s3 and im wanting to lose as much weight as possible.
So i want to lose the spare wheel and tool kit. Who has done this and what precautions (if any) have you put in place punctures or flats etc?

Any advice would be great thanks daz

My best mate is a mobile tyre fitter!

You can't have him though, get your own...........

Failing this a can of holts?

Me. I've removed both. In their place I bought a genuine audi tyre pump and repair kit. Fits neatly in the aide boot compartment.

Ive looked into that tyre weld stuff and theres very mixed reviews on it. Which is a shame as it would be ideal!!
Mobile tyre fitters is a good call, do they do emergancy call outs or is it prearranged?

How much less does the pump and repair kit weigh Dani?
Whats in the repair kit?

Thanks for both replies!!

Think its 2-3kg mate. Genuine vw/audi one.

Sod it im scraping it all. It squeaks like hell!! Besides i hardly use the car and never go far. Ill leave the spare at home and if i get stuck the bird will have to drive it out to me lol.

Literally no point having it if you have brembo's at the front. Means you'll have to put the spare at the back and the rear wheel at the front. Might aswel wait for the RAC.
