Audi A3 Alarm Retrofit

Hello,

I was wondering if anyone knows how/if it possible to retrofit the alarm system onto the A3?

I seemingly (and shockingly) seem to have no alarm system on my audi :-(

I can't personally believe that an Audi wouldn't have an Alarm system :-|

It is for a 2010 A3 8P.

No interior sensors (That i can see) and it is not activated on VCDS.

No not possible,fitted as standard to all 8P Audis

No not possible,fitted as standard to all 8P Audis

We've had this before - it is possible if it's a non-uk car. Since seemingly there aren't so many thieving gits in some other parts of Europe

It is a UK car.

But it ISNT fitted.

I even did an alarm test on the system and it made no noise.


So here is the test on the alarm horn;

the battery in the alarm siren could be corroded along with the circuit

Do you have 2 buttons on the inside drivers door card? Down near the lock?>

I don't think so but it is dark and hammering it down..

I have seen a lot of Audis, even old ones reg.2003 8p and all had alarm system, take a look at the driver's door! that's where you turn it off and on!

its the 2 buttons on the door panel near the catch.

Ohh, i had a look, and there is a button that says off - that was off (so no light on).

There was one with a lock on it - a rubber bit? Is that it?

It is going into Audi tomorrow as it has some paint blistering so a warranty claim is going in - may ask them!

Could it be a battery gone in the unit? (If it has one - I'm from a VX background)
