looking for puddle light help please

well ive searched and searched found stuff relating to boot micro switch and how to fit
but please does anyone have any threads or help on puddle lights footwell lights glove box light
all of which aren't working
my main interior lights and map work fine but nothing else is
ive gone through the fuses all are fine
anyone any idea really starting to bug me now

The micro switch is in the door lock if you look down the hole that the latch goes in there is a white pit of plastic that gets stuck.

ARGHHHHHHHHHH how can something so minor **** me off but it really is starting to get on my nerves that I can fix this problem and cant find any info about it
there has to be someone out there that has had this prob and fixed it surely
