TDI 130SE
Guys how easy or how difficult it is to get around 200bhp from 130TDi? And what sort of budget we are looking at whit this kind of upgrade?
Why dont you just sod it and get a Petrol turbo??
Price of Diesel these days!
If i start playing with idea selling the car and get petrol one itll be only 3.0 cos i dont like 1.8T units.no ofense but i dont like them thats it.
...and 200bhp in 3.0 just missing the Wow factor if you know what i mean.
(Why do you want 200bhp???) why not? TDi with +200BHP definitely got the "WOW" factor. Its gonna make me smile every time i push my right foot down.
...what else? ... hmmm ahaaa Money ... "crazyfool" again (if you have the money change it) no I dont have the money to change the car at the moment so remaping to usual 170 for start but "J7USS" (Why do you want 200bhp???)
So you dont have the money to change the car but you will spend thousands on the allard stg3 conversion? Sounds like strange economics to me!
Just think of the extra stress put on the engine/gearbox/running gear as you go above 220+ BHP - Its never going to be cheap or reliable in the long term.
I would get the Hybrid VT2 from Allard http://www.allardmotorcompany.com/pages/products/products.asp?cat=8
£695 exchange and a custom remap.Should see 200bhp for around a grand.
You dont need quattro to have all that power and torque, would be easier to get the power down but not essential.
Might be tricky in the wet though.
Yeah Im with you about the FWD. The problem is the clutch cos with FWD you going to spin the wheels but with Quattro and no upgrade on clutch u probably spin the clutch to death so what u really wonna spin tyres or clutch
mods on engine are allways a risk aren't they?
