my temp gauge is not working, the problem is i dont know where the temp sender is, is it on the rad? thanks in advance for any help!

At the back of the engine look behind the audi cover on top of the engine..
Is either a Blue, black or green plug sort of thing (depending on the year) it is pretty small and will be on the top of a hose with black clip round it.
I had to replace mine easy job.
You will see it.
If you don't post again and i will go and take a pic of mine.

cheers, mate, turns out the connecter has a wire broken out of it! so the connecter needs replacing along with the sender! how much did the sender set ya back?

I am not 100% sure.
My sensor was under £20 i am sure though.
I replaced it about a year and a half ago.
Not expensive though, just give audi a call and have you chassis number availiable and they will get you one in. You will be able to fit it your self.
Also dont worry if the new sensor you get supplied with is a different colour because they were updated.
