Hi all,

How would one go about removing the chrome strip on top of the rear bumper that gets half covered by the bootlid?

Cheers

Dan

it pulls out towards you

then towards u i forgot to put the 1st part in lol

Cheers gents.

I saw that FAQ and a number of others (one even mentioned torx screws in the boot), but I have tried everything and it's not even budging!!!!

The ends won't pop up, the front won't unclip and there are no torx screws.

Highly frustrating, what am I doing wrong?

use plastic trim removal tools.
and grow a pair, (only joking)
it defo pops up but you might need to be brave.

I was fairly brave, it looked like it would bend if I tried any harder.

It bent a steel knife (wrapped in electrical tape) so I doubt a plastic tool would do the job.

Maybe I need to get a bit braver!!!!

they are hard to pull up

start with that guy and work you way ALL along the front first.

then the back pops out

I'll have another bash tomorrow evening.

And here was me thinking it would be a simple job.

Thanks for the guidance fellas.

Use a flate blade screwdriver and cover it with a cloth so you dont scratch the paintwork.pop it up and then pull towards you like the guys said

Success!!!!

Not enjoyable though to be honest, sounded like something was breaking.

Thankfully not though.

It does seem like mine is different to the one linked above, mine is like this....
