Whining noise

You can only hear it when the seats are down its kind of a whiring whining noise when at a standstill. Poss rear diff? It's pre facelift perm awd not sure when the last time the diff oil was done. Is there a guide for it? Also does it have a Hadlex controller?

it has a controller is quattro yes
whiring noise when standstill tho?

is the haldex pump running constantly?

How would I tell? It sounds like a electric motor ill try to get a video

it will be humming from the motor on the haldex unit with ign on..
i would'nt expect it to be running from being on idle..
