Hi guys!

PlastiDip seems like a good idea for change colours of some parts on our cars,
it's easy to work with, easy to come off when needed,...

I was just wondering what do you think if i would spray the grill, badges and mirror caps
in the same colour as diffuser/Gunmetal Grey!?
I know it's a little bit diferent than black but i think it would look nice:icon_thumright:

Anybody done it before in gunmetal grey? Can someone photoshop it?

Cheers!
J.

it would be great, but plastic dip doesn't do that colour.

Yeah they have it, but it looks a lot like primer, wouldn't be my first choice.

naaah...that colour doesn't look good.

Why not plastidip the diffusor with matt black too? And what colour is your car?

Yeah, i agree that something different would be nice :)

Ever heard about Foliatec? They got Gunmetal, same product as plastidip.

I read that these two products are not completely the same and the foliatec products
are a real pain in the **** to remove!?

oh, thats some ****! Thought they were exactly the same, just that Foliatec was a little bitt more "thin" and had more chance of making "dripping marks".

Anywho, if you dont find something like gunmetal, i think you should go for matt black plastidip :)

This is what my grill looks like with plastidip:

Just let me know if you want me to delete the picture.

Leave the picture mate! Grill looks good:yes:
Need to do this as soon as possible!

Do the whole car

I would rater wrap it if it was my car. Much easier to apply and less chance of getting uneven areas. I've seen whole cars been plastidipped with success, and I've seen it with no success. Wrapping is way more safe, even dough it costs a little bit more.

OP: You should take off the rear badges, looks cleaner imo and just spray the rest.

Just ordered 2 cans of plasti-dip, waiting for them to arrive!

I'm going to be painting my entire front grill 8P3 A3 and I want to paint the rear rings as well. For the front I'm going to just spray the entire thing.

For those who have sprayed the rear rings, do you have any advice? Should I take them off the car then re-attach them? What should I use to put them back on? Double sided tape? If there's a write up, i'd love to see it!

Also, nice car Chaffy
