Temporary Insurance

Hello ASN

My friend has been trying to sell his car before he left the country for a couple of years.

Unfortunately he didnt manage to sell it and has now left the country........where is the car? On my ****** driveway. So he wants me to drive it around occasionally to advertise it.
Can you get temporary insurance on someone elses car if that car isnt insured?

is it me that needs to be insured or the car?
(i do have my own fully comp insurance policy but im under 25 so i cant drive anyone elses car third party - unless i take out temp cover)

even if you had it on your insurance to drive other cars
the other car would need to be insured
you can get temp cover on any car like if you was going to test drive 1 etc
i do it for cars and bikes when i buy them so i can get them stright home.
