I've recently noticed a light squeaking from the brakes on my a3 1.8t, this I can understand as they may be due for a change.....however the squeaking has started to appear when i'm turning right and NOT braking?? /ubbthreads/images/graemlins/confused.gif..anybody ever heard of this and might know what the problem is?

Is there any copper/anti-seize grease on the rear of the pads (The point where they contact the piston/calliper)? If not then apply some and your problems may well disappear. it is common practice to apply copper grease to the back of the pads, but I find an alarming amount of garages don't do it! Other possibilities range from slight warpage in the discs which would cause the pads to vibrate = squealing, or more seriously a wheel bearing gone.......but start with the basics and check out the grease.
