Evening all!

I was just looking over my mates new car for him (Seat Leon Cupra R 1.8t amk) and it seems his forge 008 diverter valve is reversed. The inlet is fitted into the TIP and the outlet into the boost pipe...

Why would someone do this? Does it make it louder or something? And should I switch it back round?

Ben

Some are under the misunderstanding that they sound 'louder'... all you are doing is giving the boost a bigger area to push against and the potential to create a boost leak as the initial boost spike from spool pushes the DV open...

Basically... fit it properly and leave it... :)

It sounds different but basically terrible. Much more of a metallic ping when you let off. I did it once for a laugh but it sounded awful and quickly swapped back...
