Hello

I have a Diesel Sportback and it is playing about something shocking.

It is very rough to start up and sometimes needs a bit of revving to stop it stalling.
When driving, it attempts to stall so have to save it with a combination of clutch and accelerator work.

However, when it gets up to full temp (90 oC) it is a lot, lot, lot better.

Have changed the crank sensor and MAF.

Any advice?

I think you need to get it scanned for faults. Try and find someone near you with VCDS who will help.

Thanks - i already have - i got a 16486 MAF Signal too low, hence i replaced it, but no change.

There were no other fault codes.

Thanks Mike

Oh, ok - then I can only suggest the obvious really which is take it to an independent VAG specialist and ask them for help !

Don't bother with Audi because if there are no fault codes shown then they will probably start replacing things one by one until it's sorted !!

Thanks - just trying to see what advice was offered first.

I was just thinking there - the problem started to manifest itself after i filled up in a filling station in the south of ireland (cheaper fuel - dont ask) - might this have anything to do with it?
