Hello going to look at some 18s on saturday for my 8l.

They are 5*100 with a offset of 39 and were orignally on a vauxhall.

Just wondering if theese will fit.

Cheers

The stud patterns fine but the offset is a bit high, nothing that spacers couldn't sort out though.

S3 avus' for instance are et32 iirc

Sorry to sound thick.

So the wheels would sit more inwards in the arch so might need spacers to bring them out.?

Wha size spacers would you say.?

Cheers in advance

No worries dude.

There's a diagram somewhere that Bill posted which explained offset well but essentially that's about right.

The amount of spacing really depends on what car it is, s3 or otherwise, and personal taste.

As an example though s3 owners tend to use 10mm spacers on the front and 15mm on the back but that's with the wider arches. I'm not too sure what is good on the a3 but I imagine doing the same wouldn't be too far off, hopefully some one will be along to confirm lol.

How wide are the wheels?

Not sure on width im afraid.

My car is only a 96 a3 1.6

Cheers

Sure it will have enough power to turn a set of 18's?

20mm is good for the rear, 15mm for the front -

You might want to check that PCD - I though vauxhalls were 4*100 or 5*110. Center bore is different too afik.

I've seen plenty of 1.6 with 18s!

Oh not sure now with the stud pattern.

If there 5 *110 there 100% not going to fit ?

There 5 stud he says they have been on a calibre and vectra b.

Rim width = 7.5j

Cheers again in advance.
