tdi gears stuck

just went 100 yards from my house and the gear box jammed in first gear, managed to force in to neutral but cand get in to any gear at all, the gaer lever is stuck.

any one have any ideas how i could solve this problem without scrapping the car as im gettin very ****** with it.

yeah it is jammed solid

Sounds like the flywheel could be stuck to the clutch, Can you start it with clutch pressed, get someone to push you, foot on clutch try and put in gear, and gently rev it, it might release!

Inspecting the linkages has to be the first step.

If it were flywheel or clutch related it'd shift perfectly smoothly with the engine off.
