Trickling water sound from under display console???

Hi,

I have a 2003 A3 TDi.

Recently, Ive started hearing a sound/noise coming from under the display console just above the steering wheel houseing. It sounds like water flowing through a pipe. I've never heard this sound before.

It seems to come and go but it more noticeable at higher revs.

Anyone encounter anything similar or know what it might be? engine coolant system??

maybe air in the cooling system, it can get caught in the heater matrix inside the car
