Which Oil to use ?

Hi All, My S3 has always been serviced by Audi and as far back as I can tell they have used Shell fully synthetic 5W - 30 , In all my previous cars I have used Mobil 1 0W -40 fully synthetic. Should I stick to Shell or is Mobil Better ? - I will probably service the car myself. Also as I have Mobil can I use to top up for now ? I mean will it mix ? Would appreciate your views,

Hi yes it will mix, i use shell helix ultra
but mobil is great...any quality oil of similar grade is good IMO

I use 0-40w Mobil 1

I use 5w30 but I do change my oil every six months

Quantum Platinum Synthetic 5W-40, genuine filter, drain plug, all from the dealers and change every 5k miles. Why use anything else?
