Best wax for a flat paint

Lower budget: FK1000p (cheap and hardwearing) Higher budget: Swissvax Mirage (probably wasted for winter though)

    Dealership Prep

My detailer actually said let the dealership do whatever they want - That way you avoid issues such as if you take it to the detailer covered in plastic, they remove the sheets and see a mark or something in the paint, you can't then go back to Audi as they'll say well that's possibly been done...

    Swirl Marks - Navarra S3

Check these guys out if they're local - not sure where in London you are http://www.poshwashlondon.co.uk/ At 'from £15' for a wash & dry with proper care and attention I think it would be well worth it. Plenty of supercars / high-end cars there. Note: I haven't actually been here before, so...

Mini Review - Waximax Body Wash Car Shampoo

Nice review! Seems decent and good price too! Just being picky now lol... "20ml of shampoo per 20 litres of water" So 1ml per 1 litre? You used 15 litres of water so why not 15ml of shampoo? Or am I missing something obvious here? Ha :D

    Interior cleaning

Yeah that's what I've always done, damp (not soaking wet) cloth on the seats and wheel - This reminds me I haven't done the wheel for a while actually It is great for your leather sofa in the house too haha Dash it depends I guess if you want a matte or glossy look, I prefer matte as the...

    Interior cleaning

Leather shouldn't really need cleaning (in my opinion) if you keep on top it it with a damp cloth now and again (that's all I do) Key is to keep it clean and stop it getting to that horrible 'shiny' stage that you sometimes may get on a steering wheel after months of use

Cheap paint protection film! Is it worth it ?

Hmmm fair enough I've heard with the touch up kits it is good to 'layer up' the repair, then flat it back slightly with some polishing compound. As opposed to just a 1 time application to try and cover it up... Maybe worth a go first?

Cheap paint protection film! Is it worth it ?

Covering just part of the 'fenders' and 'hood' I think will look terrible to be honest (my opinion only maybe) And having messed about with tint film in the past, and vinyl wrapping... I wouldn't expect it to be too simple, although this may be a bit easier as it is pre-cut.

    Any thoughts about Autoglym?

No worries The ones I mentioned are some of the cheap yet good options available (compared to some like Swissvax which are considerably more expensive) Hope it all goes well for you :)

WINTER IS COMING - Wheel sealant of choice?

Cheap and easy, plus had some left over from when I changed which wax I use on the bodywork Finish Kare 1000p (FK1000p) :) That's for everything behind the spokes (took the wheels off etc and did the backs)... everything on the 'face' already was coated with Koch Chemie 1K Nano sealant

    Any thoughts about Autoglym?

4 Not bad for cheapish stuff, some products are quite good (fast glass), but for same or a bit more money you can get better stuff Other brands such as Dodo Juice, Auto Finesse, Valet Pro, Menzerna Really depends on what products you want for which brands can be recommended A pro detailer...

    "Do not wash" sign

Glad you like it I think I'm gonna print one of mine off for later this month when mine goes in for some warranty work, will probably place it infront of the speedos The original I got the idea from had something else at the end like "incorrect washing technique may cause damage" but I left...

    "Do not wash" sign

Hi all, In this section of the forum I'm sure I don't need to explain the reasoning / use for such a sign :D Hope this is OK to post here. Just made this from some ideas on other detailing sites. When I have a moment, and if I get requests, I can change the logo for other brands of detailing...

New car detailing - Nanolex si3d - is £495 worth it?

It will need decontamination and quite possibly small correction... Preparation is key in detailing I paid £320 for Koch Chemie 1K Nano protection on wheels and bodywork... Nowhere near your area though I intentionally asked for nothing to be done with the interior (as it wasn't needed)...

    Car detailing

Ha yeah @RO65ERS / @Simon L the nano 1K is very expensive, but also points that it 'should' be good for that price (I know that's not guaranteed)... also not so bad if you're not paying for a whole bottle of it (if a detailer is doing it for you) I'm still researching and undecided (don't...
