Be careful buying led side light bulbs. I bought some for mine and all they did was flash as soon as the hid kicked In, I bought some more incase they were dodgy bulbs and the next set were even worse
Had the battery out tonight gave all the earths a good clean up had slight corrosion on them. Now I have lost the borking when you rev it on idle which is a bonus. Now all is left is when driving put your fit down and it hesitates a few seconds then boost will come on. Not had chance to resan...
Yeah think luck was on our side that night........well luck on the injury side anyway. Police couldn't believe we were out the car when they turned up. Truck driver not checking his mirrors!
Using vcds....gives both codes but I always use the p codes for some reason.
I know the coil pack wiring has been messed about with by previous owner as its all taped up so need to give that a good check.
Ill have a look under battery tray at the earths when I get a chance next. Map sensor in...
Also had
p1296 which is thermostat(I know I need this doing)
P1355 cylinder 1 open circuit
p0106 manifold/barometric pressure sensor

So a few lol..... Need to get it sorted
only one that won't clear...
I was in a crash in a b6 with normal airbags and not one went off. Car rolled a few times at 70mph. Car was a complete wright off as you can imagine. Only walked away with whiplash
If your not getting any wobble/vibrating/judder then I would say its not the flywheel. Hard to say without actually hearing it but you get a tapping noise when the thrust bearing needs doing my brother in laws is like this on his Octavian 1.8t
I had that problem and quickly developed into a big problem where it was not drivable. Get the car jacked up and wiggle your driveshafts about if they move then you prob have a knackered c.v joint.
Is your car lowered?
You should feel a little judder on idle. That's signs that the flywheel is starting to go. My mate had s bora and when his was gone the whole car was vibrating but didn't make any kind of noises.
Mine did the little judder on idle and I changed mine while I was on doing the clutch. Cost me £700...
I had no problems with that. Think they are just tight. Also the rubber pipe is moulded into the metal part on the end and I had to cut the metal end off the release the pipe. The engines are mounted different in my a4 to the a3s but should be pretty much the same
I had a scan done and get pressure drop between turbo and throttle which I would say was a leak. Tried 3 Dv,s so I know it's not that. Thermostat also needs doing.
I had a problem with it running rough on idle but it's not done that now for months.
Im currently running with a forge split-r dv...
