Hi Guys

OK I know there are loads of threads on this but just want simple straight quick answers rather than spending ages reading through all the posts!

I have the standard brake discs on the Audi S3 (99) and green stuff pads which i have had twice now. I like these also because the produce less brake dust than the standard Audi pads I used to have. EBC have stopped doing the greenstuff as far as I know and now its redstuff as my option but I feel maybe they are abit harsh for my car!!??

What pads would you suggest I buy please?

thanks
Tanya

Fronts... Ferodo DS2500's all day long

Rears... OEM or decent equiv (Padgit for example), no need for fancy rears

As already said, Ferodo.

Hopefully this thread'll be short enough for ya!! ;)

hope there good..ive got front ones waiting to go on mine!

I have actually gone for standard pads on my standard discs. Did have the green stuff on the standard discs. Do you think the standard pads are fine? I just hate all the brake dust they produced......

Tanya EBC do red stuff pads aswell, i have them on mine, they come with a sensor like the oem pads, they don't do much dust and the dust that does happen isn't black, its more grey

I love the DS2500's mine just squeak a lot at low speed (
Performance makes up for the noise tho..

I've had yellow stuff pads for the past year and I'm really pleased with them

how did you bed them in? shouldn't do this if bedded in properly.

I folowed the instructions, drove the car on a long ring road late at night and kept braking (half pedal force) in 4-5 seconds periods building up the heat in the pads, did this about 25 times..I guess I am just unlucky.. they dont squeal when they are warm just when cold.
