Hi i’m getting my 2011 audi s3 remapped soon and am looking at getting a ramair intake kit too along with a tts engine cover, can anyone recommend anything else i may need?

Get the revo intake instead its better plus if u decide to to stage 2 plus ull already have the revo intake. That is required for better figures and performance

Where you having it mapped by the way

Also replace your cam follower if you haven't done this in a while

i will take a look at the revo one although a stage 2 doesn’t interest me, but will definitely take a look, is there any other filters i need to change or anything and i’ll be honest i don’t know what the cam follower is and as far as i know it’s never been changed on my car

Make sure your servicing is up to date, oil, spark plugs etc. Decent fuel is a must on these cars anyway but especially on remap day.

The Ramair oversized is a good kit but as mentioned above, save the TT engine cover money and go Revo.

my car is due a minor service anytime now, and i’m not a fan of the engine without a cover looks a tad messy, and i always use costco premium unleaded

Didn’t know if I should reply fast or not

Just agreeing

(plus the revo looks so much better than the ramair)
Phaha nah im just messin mate, yea you got alot better air flow plus should.way better in imduction noises and quailty i did shorten my hardpipe by an inch or so to stop the filter rubbing on the head light

Have a read of this thread first - https://www.audi-sport.net/xf/threads/preventative-maintenance-audi-s3-bhz-cdl.341180/.

Don’t go and map the car if you aren’t up to date on maintenance - the cam follower advice above is exactly the detail you need to be all over - so do plenty of reading.

If it’s due a minor service, get it into an Audi/VW specialists and just get a full service done then at least that’s covered.

Take a read of the Maintenance thread then let us know your questions.

If its just stg1 you dont need any of the above. The std paper filter will be more than adequate for stg1. The cam follower should be changed if its high mileage ( i did mine at 60k and it was ok.) Its high pressure pumps on stg2+ that kill the follower.
I did Revo stg1 on a stock engine at 600 miles back in the day and ran it like that for 60k miles with no issue

As above, save your pennies on the intake & engine cover and buy a rear ARB instead - easily the best mod for the S3 after a remap.
